Davante Adams scores second TD, Puka Nacua questionable with chest injury

Davante Adams secured his second multi-touchdown game in a row, continuing to make a significant impact for the Los Angeles Rams. He capped off a methodical 16-play, 80-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown reception, extending the Rams’ lead to 27-10 over the New Orleans Saints in the third quarter.

Notably, this was the second time Adams found the end zone when lined up one-on-one against a defender near the goal line. On his first touchdown in the second quarter, Adams executed a quick slant route. This time, he ran a fade route, connecting easily with quarterback Matthew Stafford for the score. The drive was a lengthy one, consuming 9 minutes and 46 seconds off the clock to start the second half, as the Rams aimed to shorten the game and maintain control.

However, there is some concern for the Rams’ receiving corps. Wide receiver Puka Nacua left the field with a chest injury and is currently listed as questionable to return. Nacua was shaken up after being tackled following a successful jet sweep conversion on fourth-and-1 from the New Orleans 7-yard line and headed to the locker room for evaluation. This injury raises concern, especially since Nacua missed the Rams’ Week 7 game due to an ankle injury.

The Rams will be hoping Nacua can return soon, but for now, Adams continues to be a pivotal weapon in their offense.
