Troy Baker is reuniting with *The Last of Us* director Neil Druckmann on the upcoming project *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*. Fans can rest easy, as the duo’s trademark creative clashes are still very much alive—even though Baker is taking on a supporting role this time around.
While Troy Baker’s voice can be heard across numerous games, his work with Naughty Dog remains some of his most iconic. Known primarily for his role as Joel in *The Last of Us*, Baker also contributed to its sequel and starred in *Uncharted 4* as Sam Drake. He even made a cameo appearance in *The Last of Us* TV series, further cementing his connection to the franchise.
So, when news broke that Baker would be returning for *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*, it wasn’t surprising that fans were excited. Speaking to ComicBook, Baker was asked whether the creative clashes between him and *The Last of Us* creator Neil Druckmann have toned down now that he’s in a supporting role.
His answer? Not at all. “Neil and I will always, it’s our vibe,” Baker said, recalling a recent clash just a few weeks prior. “We just love to butt up against each other.”
He shared an amusing anecdote from a table read: “I was literally like, ‘Why are you giving me shit right now? I’m asking you a question!’” Other cast members reportedly joked, “Our mom and dad are fighting, are we still going to Disneyland?”
Despite the occasional friction, Baker assured fans that their relationship is solid. “We’re fine,” he concluded.
It seems the creative tension between Baker and Druckmann only fuels their collaboration, promising an exciting project ahead with *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
