Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.5 Patch Notes: Improvements to Redsec Match Flow, Squad Revives, and End-of-Round Transitions

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have prepared one of the first major patches for Battlefield 6 since the launch of its free-to-play Redsec battle royale module. Update 1.1.1.5 includes a variety of fixes across the entire game, with a strong focus on balancing and improving several aspects of Redsec, particularly around match flow and round transitions.

Battlefield 6 Update 1.1.1.5 Release Date

The update is set to launch on November 11, with the full patch notes already available. As expected, many changes are dedicated to Redsec, aiming to address issues like matches not ending properly or players not being transitioned to the End-of-Round screen after losing their Second Chance. Beyond Redsec, the patch also resolves vehicle spawning problems in Breakthrough and Conquest modes, among other fixes.

Major Updates in 1.1.1.5

  • Fixed an exploit allowing players to ascend and access unintended areas by standing on the XFGM-6D Recon Drone and hitting it with the Sledgehammer.
  • Fixed an issue where Lock-Guided Missiles were not countered correctly by enemy countermeasures like flares.
  • Resolved vehicle spawn issues in Breakthrough and Conquest.
  • Fixed multiple Battle Royale-specific issues affecting match flow, squad revives, and End-of-Round transitions.
  • Addressed progression, audio, and UI issues to improve overall clarity, reliability, and immersion.

Player-Related Fixes

  • Corrected higher-than-intended dispersion when transitioning from sprint to firing while aiming down sights (ADS).
  • Fixed dispersion scaling so it no longer always assumes maximum movement speed for the player’s stance.
  • Tuned the landing animation to reduce excessive camera and weapon movement when aiming down sights, enhancing visual stability during and after landing.
  • Resolved issues where ADS aim could be displaced during sliding.

Vehicle Fixes

  • Addressed cases where Lock-Guided Missiles did not get countered properly by flares.

Gadget Fixes

  • Patched an exploit that allowed players to ascend and reach unintended areas by interacting with drones using the Sledgehammer.

Maps & Modes

  • Fixed improper vehicle spawning in Breakthrough and Conquest modes.
  • Resolved an issue where matches would sometimes start with all sectors and objectives active simultaneously.
  • Fixed a problem in Strikepoint mode on Siege of Cairo where destruction did not reset at halftime.

User Interface & HUD

  • Corrected locked Anti-Air Vehicle presets in Vehicle Customisation to properly display unlock criteria.

Progression

  • Fixed the shotgun weapon challenge “Kill 5 Enemies With a Shotgun Without Reloading” so it completes correctly.
  • Resolved a bug causing “Engineer Specialist 3” assignment progress not to save properly.

Portal

  • Fixed “SpawnLoot” not spawning ammo or armor as intended.
  • Blocked players with community creation privileges set to Block from accessing user-generated Community Experiences when the party leader hosts a match.

Audio

  • Fixed an issue where activating the BF PRO Radio Channel through the Commrose did not play any sound.

Redsec-Specific Fixes

  • Fixed Battle Royale (Quads) matches not ending after the last team was eliminated.
  • Fixed a bug where being killed immediately after a mobile respawn could cause the entire squad to be eliminated instead of just the player, preventing revives of remaining teammates.
  • Resolved cases where players became stuck in a top-down map view after redeploying.
  • Fixed issues where players retained their Second Chance after redeploying and did not transition to the End-of-Round screen after their next elimination.

Redsec UI & HUD

  • Fixed an issue where all squad members showed the same highlighted stat on the Squad Placement screen.

Redsec Progression

  • Fixed the “Battle Royal Master Challenge 4” so that progress tracks correctly.
