Manish Malhotra’s Gustaakh Isqh Kucch Pehle Jaisa is all set for an official premiere at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The festival is scheduled to be held from 20th November to 28th, and Gustaakh Ishq will have its grand premiere on 24th November. For Manish Malhotra, the film marks his first cinematic production under Stage5 Production, celebrating old-school love, poetry and shayris bringing back the charm of nostalgic ishq. Considering that Gustaakh Ishq marks Malhotra’s debut film as a producer, its premiere at IFFI is a milestone for him and the Indian film industry. Starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sharib Hashmi, Gustaakh Ishq reignites the magic of puraani mohabbat with lingering glances, feels and music that goes straight to the heart, and a tale that’s unhurried but deeply poetic. Produced by Manish Malhotra alongside his brother Dinesh Malhotra under Stage5 Production, Vibhu Puri directs Gustaakh Ishq, and it unfolds as a poignant tale of passion and unspoken desire, set amidst the bylanes of Purani Dilli and the fading kothis of Punjab. SCOOP: Dhurandhar makers eye May 29, 2026 for the release of the second part

On Monday, November 17, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to break the viral news that Dhurandhar is a two-part saga. As expected, the news travelled far and wide. 2 days later and a day after the grand trailer launch, Bollywood Hungama brings to you one more update about this film. A source told us, “Dhurandhar’s first part will arrive in cinemas on December 5, as is common knowledge. The makers want to release the second part in the first half of 2026, particularly in the summers. Accordingly, they have set their eyes on the May 29 slot. It is empty and hasn’t been grabbed yet. This will give them an advantage of a solo release, just like the first part, which is arriving sans any competition.”The source continued, “However, the makers have not yet locked the May 29 date. They are looking at other vacant dates as well in May and also are considering if Dhurandhar Part 2 can arrive in cinemas in June. They plan to take a call on it soon.”Meanwhile, there was no mention of Dhurandhar being a two-part saga at the grand trailer launch, held yesterday, on November 18, at Mumbai’s iconic Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. An industry insider commented, “The makers probably plan to lock the date before the release of the first part. Dhurandhar Part 1 is expected to end with the announcement of the second installment along with its release date.”On Monday, Bollywood Hungama carried a quote by a source that said, “Dhurandhar’s first part will end at a decisive point and the story will then continue in the second part. Director Aditya Dhar has shot extensively and the film has shaped up really well. But since it’s very lengthy, he and the makers, Jio Studios and B62 Studios, have toyed with the idea of breaking it into 2 parts. If this is the plan, then Dhurandhar’s part 2 will arrive next year, preferably in the first half.”Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh in the lead and also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun. Sholay’s original ending finally set for release; restored version to hit theatres on December 12, 2025

The makers of Sholay have officially announced the release date of the newly restored 4K version of the 1975 classic. The film, featuring director Ramesh Sippy’s originally intended ending, will arrive in theatres on December 12, 2025, marking the first time Indian audiences will see the climax exactly as it was envisioned five decades ago. This announcement comes shortly after veteran actor Dharmendra, who headlined the iconic film alongside Amitabh Bachchan, was discharged from the hospital following a recent health scare. The actor is currently recovering at home. The restored version of Sholay has been created by the Film Heritage Foundation in collaboration with Sippy Films. The team sourced a rare colour reversal print from London, located the original camera negatives, and even recovered long-lost deleted scenes from a warehouse in Mumbai. The result is a 4K restoration that returns the film to its original 70mm format. The film made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) earlier this year and is set for its Australian debut at the Indian Film Festival of Sydney (IFFS) in October. With the newly announced India release, the restoration is now headed for a wide audience. The Original Ending, Five Decades Later One of the biggest draws of this version is the reinstatement of the original climax, where Thakur kills Gabbar Singh-an ending that had been altered due to censorship restrictions during the Emergency. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama last month, Ramesh Sippy explained the circumstances that led to the change. “In 1975, it was the time of the Emergency. So, we couldn’t argue too much. But the end that I put in had to be shot at the last minute,” he said. “This changed climax was the same ending that took place in every film at that time. The police comes and says, ‘Ruk jaao’! It was a typical ending. That’s what I didn’t like; there was no other reason.”He added with humour, “The Censor officials stressed that ‘He’s an officer. He should not be taking the law into his own hands’. Actually, I can’t say hands as he didn’t have any.”With the restored version now set for a December 12 release, audiences will have the chance to revisit Sholay in a form that honours its scale, craft, and original creative vision. EXCLUSIVE: CBFC reduces kissing scene in Thamma by 5 seconds; replaces ‘Azaadi doonga’ with ‘Aiyaashi karata hoon’

Three days are left for the release of the grand Diwali biggie, Thamma, and the excitement is gradually building up. The makers, Maddock Films, completed the censor process on time and in this article, Bollywood Hungama will exclusively focus on the cuts suffered by the horror comedy. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked for audio cuts in three places and one visual modification as well. The word ‘Alexander’ was replaced with ‘Sikandar’. In another dialogue, the word ‘Ashwathama’ was muted. In the second half of the film, the words ‘Azaadi doonga’ were replaced with ‘Aiyaashi karata hoon’. The Examining Committee also asked the makers to ‘reduce the slurping sound of drinking blood to minimum’. Finally, a kissing scene in the second half was reduced by 30%, that is, by 5 seconds. The last modification may dampen the excitement of the moviegoers but on the positive side, this is the shortest intimacy cut asked by the CBFC in recent times. In Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, liplock visuals were reduced by 60%. In Saiyaara, the makers were instructed to delete and replace 10 seconds of ‘sensual, intimacy, body exposure visuals’. Lastly, in Superman, the CBFC axed 33 seconds of ‘sensual visual’ from Superman. It led to massive criticism as the studio had to make abrupt cuts to accommodate CBFC’s directive. Coming back to Thamma, once the changes were made, the censor certificate was handed over to the makers on October 15. The film was passed with a U/A 16+ rating. The length of the movie, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 149. 59 minutes. In other words, Thamma is 2 hours 29 minutes and 59 seconds long. Thamma releases on Tuesday, October 21 and stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal. It is backed by blockbuster producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya (2024) fame. It is a part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe and hence, belongs to the same world as Stree, Bhediya and Munjya.
