Broncos look to clinch AFC’s No. 1 seed with win against Chargers

The Denver Broncos can clinch their first No. 1 playoff seed in a decade Sunday when they face the Los Angeles Chargers’ bevy of backups. Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh is resting several starters, including QB Justin Herbert. Trey Lance will start at quarterback for the Chargers. Denver has already clinched a playoff spot and can earn a first-round bye with a win. Broncos QB Bo Nix is close to tying an NFL record for wins in his first two seasons. Denver’s defense has been dominant, leading the league in sacks. The Chargers are 5-0 against the AFC West this season.
