Wake Forest keeps No. 12 Virginia out of end zone in 16-9 win. Cavaliers QB Morris hurt

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — Carlos Hernandez returned a bouncing punt 88 yards in the third quarter for the game’s only touchdown, leading Wake Forest to a 16-9 victory over No. 12 Virginia on Saturday night.

The win handed Virginia its first Atlantic Coast Conference loss of the season.

Wake Forest played most of the night without quarterback Chandler Morris, who was injured during the game.
