The Pittsburgh Steelers are once again battling injuries in their secondary as safety Jabrill Peppers has been ruled out for the second consecutive week.
According to Friday’s practice report, Peppers will miss the Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a quad injury. He joins guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral), linebacker Cole Holcomb (illness), and wide receiver Scotty Miller (finger) on the injury list.
Peppers signed with Pittsburgh two months ago on a one-year deal worth $1.25 million. He had a standout performance against his former team, the New England Patriots, in Week 3 but has seen limited playing time since then.
Fortunately for the Steelers, safety Chuck Clark will return for Sunday Night Football against the Chargers. Clark missed the Week 9 game versus the Indianapolis Colts while battling an illness, but he is now expected to be back on the field.
