**Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Issues Warning Ahead of Gubernatorial Election**
Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba on Monday issued a stern warning to anyone considering cheating in the fiercely contested New Jersey gubernatorial election.
Republican Jack Ciattarelli is set to face off against Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) in the governor’s race. Meanwhile, in Virginia, Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears and Democratic Rep. Abigail Spanberger are also vying for the governor’s seat. In New York City, Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani is running for mayor against Democrat Chris Cuomo.
In a video posted on X, Habba stated, “The U.S. Attorney’s Office will coordinate with our partners at the FBI to respond to complaints related to the upcoming general election.”
She emphasized that the office will investigate and prosecute any criminal activity related to the election process, including intimidating or bribing voters, buying and selling voters, impersonating voters, altering voting ballots and tallies, stuffing ballot boxes, and marking ballots for voters without their consent.
Habba added, “And it will do so regardless of who commits those crimes and regardless of party or affiliation.”
According to The Gateway Pundit, Jack Ciattarelli has made significant gains in the New Jersey race, closing in on Mikie Sherrill’s substantial 20-point lead. The contest is now considered a dead heat, with voter turnout expected to determine the outcome. Current polling shows Ciattarelli supported by 48% of voters compared to Sherrill’s 49%.
In an effort to boost Sherrill’s campaign, Democrats reportedly enlisted former President Barack Obama to campaign on her behalf this past Saturday.
