How to Complete the Straight Record Quest in ARC Raiders
As an earlier quest in ARC Raiders, Straight Record is, at the risk of a pun, pretty straightforward. Your objective is to go to a specific location, interact with a few objectives, and collect your reward. However, the objectives aren’t immediately obvious, so we’ve put together this guide to help you find them and complete the quest efficiently.
Overview of the Quest
To complete the Straight Record quest, you need to:
- Find an EMP trap on Dam Battleground
- Turn off three power sources
- Finally, turn off the EMP trap itself
The entire quest takes place in the northwestern portion of the Dam Battlegrounds, just east of the Power Generation Complex in the Victory Ridge region. Victory Ridge stretches from the Pale Apartments on the western edge of the Dam all the way to the West Broken Bridge in the north.
The EMP trap is located south of the interaction point, nestled between the West Broken Bridge and the Ruby Residence points of interest. You’ll recognize the spot by the collection of ruined buildings surrounding a central clearing.
Step 1: Find and Activate the EMP Trap
Once you have located the EMP trap in the clearing, interact with it to start the next set of objectives — finding and turning off three power switches scattered around the area.
Step 2: Locate and Turn Off the First Power Switch
The first power switch is located mostly due north of the EMP trap, positioned on a ridge that overlooks the clearing. If you approach from the south, you’ll see the switch glowing yellow atop a box-like structure. Head up and interact with this switch to power it down and progress to the next step.
Step 3: Locate and Turn Off the Second Power Switch
The second switch can be found on the second level of a ruined red building situated east of the EMP trap. Use the breachable power box nearby to climb onto the upper platform, then carefully navigate over to the switch and turn it off.
Step 4: Locate and Turn Off the Third Power Switch
The third power switch lies south of the EMP trap. To find it, follow the power cable on the ground leading away from the clearing. Look for a small electrical pylon with a cable running south of it. Once located, interact with the switch to turn it off.
Step 5: Turn Off the EMP Trap
After you have powered down all three switches, return to the EMP trap and turn it off to complete the quest.
Additional Tips
- You don’t need to survive the entire raid to complete the quest. If you finish the objectives quickly, feel free to loot or engage in combat afterward.
- Even if you’re eliminated and sent back to Speranza by another Raider, you can still visit Celeste and complete the Straight Record quest without issue.
