Rubio slams Hamas after video shows suspected operatives looting Gaza aid truck: ‘They’re the impediment’

**U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio Condemns Hamas After Drone Footage Shows Aid Theft in Gaza**

Secretary of State Marco Rubio strongly condemned Hamas on Saturday following the release of U.S. military drone footage that appears to show suspected operatives of the terror group looting a truck carrying humanitarian aid destined for civilians in Gaza.

The video, issued by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), captures suspected Hamas members assaulting the driver of an aid truck on Friday. The operatives dragged the driver to the median of the road before fleeing the scene with both the vehicle and its cargo.

“Hamas continues to deprive the people of Gaza of the humanitarian aid they desperately need,” Rubio wrote on X. “This theft undermines international efforts in support of President Trump’s 20 Point Plan to deliver critical assistance to innocent civilians.”

A recent study highlights that aid theft by terror groups and regimes prolongs global conflicts, further emphasizing the gravity of such actions.

Rubio accused Hamas of being “the impediment” to relief efforts, stating that the terror group is actively blocking aid intended for civilians. “They must lay down their arms and stop their looting so that Gaza can have a brighter future,” he added.

According to CENTCOM, the truck was part of a humanitarian convoy transporting supplies from international partners to residents in northern Khan Younis, Gaza.

The incident was recorded by the Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) using a U.S. MQ-9 drone monitoring the ceasefire implementation between Hamas and Israel.

“Operatives attacked the driver and stole the aid and truck after moving the driver to the road’s median,” CENTCOM posted on X. “The driver’s current status is unknown.”

Nearly 40 nations and international organizations are collaborating to provide humanitarian, logistical, and security assistance for Gaza through the CMCC.

Over the past week, international partners have reportedly delivered more than 600 trucks of commercial goods and aid into Gaza daily. CENTCOM emphasized that such incidents undermine these vital efforts.

In related developments, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered “immediate and powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip” amid escalating tensions.

Additionally, former President Trump has given Hamas 48 hours to return all deceased Gaza hostages, warning that “other countries will take action” if his demands are not met.
