Two young fishermen die off Kaena Point

Honolulu police are currently investigating two unattended deaths after two 18-year-old fishermen were found unresponsive off Kaena Point on Saturday morning.

According to police, one of the teens was swept off the rocks, and the other entered the water to help him. Both individuals were later located by Ocean Safety personnel near Yokohama Bay and brought to shore, where CPR was administered.

The teenagers were transported to a hospital in critical condition but unfortunately later died, the Honolulu Police Department confirmed.

The investigation is ongoing. At this time, there are no signs of suspicious activity or foul play observed at the scene, according to HPD. The victims have not yet been publicly identified.
