State Voting Audits

How Many Illegal Immigrants Have Been Permitted to Vote in US Elections?

The number of illegal immigrants allowed to vote in US elections has long been shrouded in secrecy due to federal laws restricting access to voter data. However, during the Trump Administration, states were granted greater authority to audit voter rolls in order to enhance election security and transparency.

Recently, Texas took advantage of this authority. Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced the results of a comprehensive state audit revealing that 2,724 noncitizens across 254 counties are currently registered to vote.

This finding has sparked discussions regarding voter registration procedures and the integrity of voting systems nationwide. It highlights the importance of continued efforts to ensure that only eligible citizens participate in elections.
