Project Runway has been renewed for another season, much to the delight of fashion fans. According to Variety, Disney has greenlit Season 22 of the popular fashion series. The new season is set to debut in 2026 and will be available across Hulu, Disney+, and Freeform.
Heidi Klum is confirmed to return as host and judge, reuniting with mentor Christian Siriano and judges Law Roach and Nina Garcia. This marks yet another chapter in the show’s evolving lineup.
Since its premiere in 2004, Project Runway has moved between networks, airing on Bravo and Lifetime before joining Disney. Season 21 was the first under Disney’s umbrella, airing on Freeform over the summer. The renewal announcement comes less than a month after the Season 21 finale, which aired on September 25.
Notably, Season 21 marked Heidi Klum’s return after an eight-year hiatus. Klum, who had been part of the series since its inception, along with mentor Tim Gunn, left in 2018 to work on their own fashion competition show, Making the Cut, on Prime Video. Following their departure, Karlie Kloss stepped in as host for two seasons, while Season 4 winner Christian Siriano took on the role of mentor.
Christian Siriano then advanced to both host and mentor for Seasons 19 and 20. With Season 21, Klum and Siriano returned together, joined by stylist Law Roach as a new judge.
Reflecting on her departure back in 2018, Klum said, “After 16 incredible seasons, I am saying ‘Auf Wiedersehen’ to Project Runway, a show that I was honored to host and help create. I am incredibly proud of the show, and it will always have a special place in my heart. I am so appreciative of the dedicated fans, and most of all, I am grateful that we could shine a light on creativity and help launch so many talented designers’ careers.”
With Season 22 on the horizon, fans can look forward to more high-stakes fashion challenges and inspiring talent on Project Runway’s next runway.
