**Brake Failure Causes Mini-Truck to Ram Multiple Vehicles in Indore, Two Injured**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A mini-truck lost control and rammed into multiple vehicles after its brakes failed, resulting in injuries to two people within the Raoji Bazar police station limits on Saturday evening.
According to police reports, the mini-truck bearing registration number MP13 GB 6446 was descending from the Loha Mandi Bridge when the incident occurred. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Mangal Kevat, a resident of Sanwer Bypass, first collided with a loading rickshaw, followed by two motorcycles, and finally a scooter.
A young woman riding the scooter sustained injuries in the collision. Another woman was also hurt in the crash. Both injured women, Monika Solanki (27) of Malviya Nagar and Sharmila Patel (28) of Old Palasia, were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The police seized the truck and took the driver into custody. A breathalyzer test confirmed that Kevat was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. During questioning, he stated that the vehicle’s brakes had failed, leading to the mishap.
Authorities have ordered a mechanical inspection of the vehicle to determine the exact cause of the brake failure. Police confirmed that interrogation of the driver is still underway.
This incident marks the second time this month that a recklessly driven vehicle has caused injuries in the area, raising concerns over road safety and vehicle maintenance.
