BJP Appoints UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya As Co-In-Charge For Bihar Assembly Elections

Lucknow: The BJP has appointed Keshav Prasad Maurya as the Co-In-Charge for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, reflecting the party’s strong confidence in his organizational capabilities. Maurya, a seasoned politician with extensive experience in managing party affairs, will play a key role in strategizing and coordinating election preparations across the state.

Alongside Maurya, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been named Bihar’s Election In-Charge, while C.R. Patil has been appointed as another co-in-charge for the poll preparations.

Maurya is widely regarded as a close confidant of Home Minister Amit Shah, which further bolsters his standing within the BJP hierarchy. His successful track record, especially during the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, showcased his ability to effectively mobilize grassroots support.

BJP leaders believe that Maurya’s leadership in Bihar could be pivotal in achieving electoral success, while simultaneously enhancing his political influence in Uttar Pradesh.

Recently, Maurya also paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary. He emphasized that Upadhyaya’s philosophy of integral humanism and antyodaya continues to guide India’s development path. Maurya highlighted the importance of welfare for the most marginalized sections of society and inclusive growth, reinforcing his commitment to social upliftment alongside his political responsibilities.
