MANILA, Philippines—Adamson shrugged off a chaotic fourth quarter and turned to Ray Allen Torres to upset the University of the Philippines, 62-59, securing its first win in the UAAP Season 88 men’s basketball tournament on Wednesday.
After numerous questionable calls in the fourth quarter that ultimately led to a 59-all deadlock in the dying seconds, Adamson managed to pull through with composure and determination.
