MANILA, Philippines—EJ Obiena couldn’t help but marvel at Mondo Duplantis’ latest feat in pole vaulting.
This weekend may be about Obiena and the sport’s spotlight in the Philippines, but even he had to acknowledge Duplantis’ latest accolade.
“Mondo is really an amazing guy,” Obiena said just a day before the Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault.
