**Inspiring Session by Pujya Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Maharaj at Madhya Pradesh State Press Club “Rubaru” Programme**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a memorable “Rubaru” programme organized by the State Press Club, Madhya Pradesh, Pujya Shri Vasant Vijayanand Giri Maharaj delivered an inspiring session emphasizing the importance of unity among saints. He urged that saints must refrain from criticizing one another, as innumerable followers watch and emulate their conduct.
Maharaj highlighted how our ancient Indian traditions are gradually being validated by scientific research. Customs such as tying coal behind the house or bathing before visiting temples are now being acknowledged for their health and spiritual benefits.
Sharing his knowledge, Maharaj explained that he offers remedies and practices derived from rigorous studies of calendar calculations, zodiac principles, architecture (Vastu), gemstone science, horology, and synology—all aimed at promoting overall welfare.
He lamented the Western cultural influences that often mock traditional beliefs, festivals, and even names, calling them absurd without understanding their deep meanings. Yet, Maharaj affirmed that the Sanatan (eternal) philosophy remains unwavering through all ages, standing firm like a steadfast banyan tree.
Reflecting on his own spiritual journey, Maharaj recalled childhood hardships and the inspiration he received from his mother, Padmavati. He narrated spiritual experiences near Omkareshwar, including visions of a seven-colored light, which led him deeper into Shiva sadhana and the Rudra mantra.
Maharaj also advised adopting a disciplined daily routine for a happy and balanced life. His recommendations included sleeping between eleven p.m. and six a.m., avoiding aimless hustle, and cultivating self-acceptance to reduce life’s complications.
The event concluded with felicitations by Press Club officials, presentation of gifts, a caricature unveiling, poster launching, and blessings extended to all journalists present.
