The Women Who Built Chicago: Bus Tour Celebrates Women’s History Month

CHICAGO (WLS) — In honor of Women’s History Month, the “Women Who Built Chicago” bus tour is highlighting the remarkable women who have made a lasting impact on the city of Chicago.

Historian Shermann “Dilla” Thomas joined ABC7 on Friday to discuss the upcoming bus tours scheduled for this weekend. The tours will take place on:

  • Saturday from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Sunday from 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
  • Sunday from 3:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.

All tours will start at the Chicago Women’s Park and Garden, located at 1801 S. Indiana Ave.

Proceeds from the event will support YMCA Chicago’s TechGYRLS program, empowering young women in technology.
