Harmoni Cummings scored a career-high 23 points to lead Westampton Tech past Holy Cross Prep 67-55 in Delran. The Panthers (9-4) pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Holy Cross 26-21 in the final period.
Lyric Steward added 14 points for Westampton Tech, while Bree Sunkett and Ifebuche Nnebe contributed 11 points each in the victory.
For Holy Cross Prep (7-10), Callie Fox led the way with 19 points, including four three-pointers. Mary Kate Yansick recorded a double-double with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
The game turned in the second quarter when Westampton Tech outscored Holy Cross 17-7 to take a 27-17 halftime lead. Holy Cross attempted to rally in the third quarter, winning the period 17-12, but couldn’t overcome the Panthers’ fourth-quarter surge.
Laura Sherlock contributed 9 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and a game-high 3 steals for Holy Cross, while Gina DiGiovanni dished out 5 assists in the losing effort.
Westampton Tech travels to face Camden Tech at 4 p.m. on Jan. 29. Thrive Charter hosts at 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 6.
