BOYS LONGVIEW 55, WHITEHOUSE 41: Campbell Liebengood knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 23 points, Jayden Tyeski added 19 points for the Lobos and Longview opened up a big lead early on the way to a 55-41 win over Whitehouse on Monday. Zachariah Biggs added seven points for Longview, which led 20-5 after one quarter and 33-23 at halftime. Jacorrian Stevenson had five points, and Jadyn King-Kirkendoff scored one. King-Kirkendoff and Stevenson dished out five assists apiece. Tyeski went double-double with 11 records. King-Kirkendoff, Tyeski and Biggs all had two steals, and Tyeski blocked a shot. Chris Sturns had 13 points in the loss for Whitehouse. CANTON 47, HALLSVILLE 35: The Canton Eagles built a big halftime lead on the way to a 47-35 win over the Hallsville Bobcats on Monday. Canton led 15-7 after one quarter and 27-13 at the break. Peyton Moore had 13 points and Zack Thornton nine for Hallsville, now 1-2 on the young season. JASPER 54, HENDERSON 42: HENDERSON The Henderson Lions (0-2) fell 54-42 in pre-season basketball action against Jasper (3-1) on Monday afternoon. Jumuajah Simms paced the Lions with 10 points. Vince Howard and Ayden Perry had eight points apiece, Jaden Lockett scored six, Jaxson Bradford three, Justin Howard two and Brailon Walker one. Malicah Thomas and Breylon Collier each had 13 points and Demetrick West scored 10 in the win for Jasper. TATUM 69, GILMER 48: TATUM Cooper Whiteus scored 21 points and Grayson Lee had 15 points leading the Tatum Eagles to a 69-48 win over Gilmer on Monday afternoon. Quincy Davis and Jacob Dygert scored nine points each, Toby Bush scored six, Jeremiah Thomas five and Brandon Howard two. Jaden Holladay recorded 12 points and Ty Stephenson 11 in the loss for Gilmer. After a 61-48 win at Crockett on Friday, the Eagles start their season 2-0. Whiteus paced the Eagles against Crockett with 22 points. Davis added 14 and Lee and Bush scored eight points each. TROUP 45, KERENS 24: Carter Graves finished with 21 points, Braxton Barton added 11 and the Troup Tigers earned a 45-24 win over Kerens on Monday. Levi Chambers chipped in with six points for Troup, which led 13-8 after one quarter and 22-14 at halftime. Tre Anderson added five points and Michael Burns scored a couple. DETROIT 44, ORE CITY 42: The Detroit Eagles overcame a big game from Ore City’s Tavarius Pritchett to edge the Rebels 44-42 on Monday. Pritchett finished with 23 points in the loss for Ore City. GIRLS TATUM 60, RUSK 23: Kamdyn Scott scored 25 points, Kumora Chatman joined her in double figures with 10 points and the Tatum Lady Eagles moved to 4-2 on the year with a 60-23 win over Rusk on Monday. Scott added 12 steals and three rebounds for Tatum, and Chatman finished with five assists, two rebounds and six steals. Emma Dygert chipped in with nine points, three assists and two steals, McKenley Mack six points, five rebounds and two steals, Jaiyana Bishop four points, three rebounds and two steals, Taliyah Dixon two points, five assists, two rebounds and three steals, Brynn Downs two points, three rebounds and two steals, Aaliyah Williams two assists, two rebounds and three steals and Jamyah Butler three assists. H. SPRINGS 44, Q. CITY 17: Texcee Kelley recorded a 15-point, 11-rebound double-double, Kate McKinney tossed in nine points to go along with six rebounds and four assists, and the Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs rolled to a 44-17 win over the Queen City Lady Bulldogs on Monday. Jordyn Moore added six points and five steals, and Diamonique Bowles finished with six points, six steals and four assists for the Lady Mustangs. Jada Leary added four points, Kylee Duck two points and six rebounds and Kadi Daniels two points. SABINE 51, N. DIANA 16: Madison Wilson scored 14 points, Madison Pierce and Sarah Roberts added 12 apiece and the Sabine Lady Cardinals rolled to a 51-16 win over the New Diana Lady Eagles on Monday. Jayda Lewis had eight points and Mia Kaufman five for Sabine, which led 11-2 after one quarter and 22-8 at halftime. OVERTON 44, CUMBERLAND ACADEMY 43: OVERTON Haylee Brown made a free throw with zero time remaining on the clock and the Overton Lady Mustangs came away with a 44-43 win over Cumberland Academy on Monday afternoon. Pacing the Lady Mustangs was Ashby Croswell with 11 points. Ashlynn Oates scored 10 points, Brown and Kyuana Brown had six points each and Makayla Edwards scored seven. W. OAK 36, BECKVILLE 28: The White Oak Ladynecks earned a 36-28 win over Beckville on Monday. Landrie Dennard and Scarlett Johnson scored seven points apiece in the loss for Beckville. Adyson Davis and Kaitlyn Mauritzen finished with five apiece, and Kinley Akin and Alayna Gollsby chipped in with two apiece. Dennard added six rebounds, Akin three steals and Dennard and Davis a block apiece. TROUP 40, HAWKINS 34: The Troup Lady Tigers sprinted out to a 17-4 lead after one quarter and held on for a 40-34 win over the Hawkins Lady Hawks on Monday. Qhenja Jordan and Jakeira Davis scored 13 points apiece for Troup, which led 30-14 at halftime. Hannah Cearley had five points, Amari Shepard four, Cassie Murray three and Kasyn McGee and Paisley Skinner two each. Aftyn Serrano paced Hawkins with 11 points, Alana Gipson added six, Hailee Skipworth five, Keiper Pruitt and Karsyn Johnson four each, Ainsley Connor three and CeeJai Gipson one. BROWNSBORO 51, MINEOLA 23: Ava Johnson (14) and Parmer Fitzgerald (13) combined for 27 points to lead the Brownsboro Bearettes to a 51-23 win over Mineola on Monday. Kynsie Daniels added nine points for Brownsboro, which led 12-6 after one quarter and extended the lead to 22-10 at halftime. Chyann Stidham had eight points, Sadie Piper four, Riley Smith two and Sarah Hughes one.
