Jonesboro’s robust manufacturing sector is a cornerstone of the local economy, and a powerful engine for regional growth. Nearly 100 manufacturing facilities employ more than 11, 000 skilled workers across the region to produce everything from snack chips to industrial conveyor systems. The Jonesboro Industrial Park and Craighead Technology Park hosts globally recognized brands such as ABB, Frito-Lay, Great Dane, Hytrol, Nestlé, Nice-Pak, Post Consumer Brands and Unilever. Riceland Foods also has a local presence. The recent acquisition of 612 acres now known as Craighead Technology Park South further positions the community for future industrial development. This new site is already under infrastructure development, with millions invested to ensure it meets the needs of tomorrow’s industry. Equally important is our investment in people. Jonesboro continues to lead in workforce development, highlighted by the recent launch of the CREST (Career Readiness Education and Skills Training) Center at Arkansas State University. This state-of-the-art facility will provide industry-driven training programs, ensuring our workforce remains agile and ready to meet the evolving demands of manufacturing.
