Brandel Chamblee recently discussed a tremendous concept for a future potential championship for the LPGA Tour. Women’s golf has begun to gain a lot of eyeballs in recent years, and even the LPGA has added a lot of new things. Interestingly, on November 21, Jamie Kennedy proposed a fresh concept for a Women’s Tour Players Championship. Kennedy, who is the director of digital content in Golf Digest, stated that the TPC Sawgrass, which hosts the PGA Tour’s Players Championship every season, would be an excellent course for women’s golfers to play on. He suggested that the tournament might be a dream for sponsors, as well as increased TV attention for the LPGA, which can be a big deal. Thanks for the submission! He proposed building a new course, similar to the TPC Sawgrass, and calling it the TPC LPGA, which can be exclusive for the women’s Players Championship. Chamblee’s X post stated, “Absolutely, but there should be something like the TPC LPGA, designed exclusively for the best women players in the world.” Aside from this, Chamblee is currently also keeping an eye out for the CME Group Tour Championship, and interestingly, he has already chosen the best striker of the tour in his opinion.
