KINGSTON, N. Y. Made in Kingston will bring together local creatives and makers of all types at the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County at 507 Broadway on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 8 p. m. The free event will feature more than 70 local artists, businesses, and organizations. Visitors can enjoy live a cappella music, along with food and beverages from Kingston’s eateries and bakeries. “Made in Kingston is a fantastic event that brings together neighbors, showcases our talented local artisans, and offers attendees a wide variety of goods made right here in our city,” Mayor Steve Noble said in a press release. As in years past, the event will award a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating Kingston High School senior majoring in arts or technology. For the first time this year, the scholarship is incorporated into the event budget. Donations will be accepted at the door.
