Former India and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel recently shared a funny incident from his first broadcasting stint. The 40-year-old revealed that his commentary career kicked off with the 2017 Women’s World Cup. Ad Parthiv recalled that he was part of the commentary team when India’s Harmanpreet Kaur played a stunning, unbeaten 171-run knock off 115 balls in the semifinal against Australia. He disclosed that during the game, he ended up communicating with his producer while being on-air. Speaking about the goof-up, Parthiv said on ‘The Lavari Show’: I started doing commentary in the 2017 Women’s World Cup, where Harmanpreet Kaur scored 175 runs (171* runs) against Australia. Obviously, 175 is a big score, and it is going to be shown again and again. So, the producer kept saying, Harman’s innings coming up. So, I was live and was speaking about some other point, and ended up saying, ‘Haan ayega tab bata dunga na. The knowledge he has and how he prepares, he taught me all of that. I really enjoyed it. It is fun to hear him talk.
