‘Noem should resign over this’: Fury over alleged DHS ‘child kidnapping and trafficking’

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is facing intense criticism following a recent report revealing that none of the individuals arrested during a high-profile raid have been charged with a crime.

ProPublica recently covered the DHS raid on an apartment building alleged to be filled with supposed gang members. The report stated, “Federal prosecutors have not filed criminal charges against anyone who was arrested. Nor have they revealed any evidence showing that two immigrants arrested in the building belonged to the Tren de Aragua gang, or even provided their names.”

This revelation has sparked widespread outrage on social media platform X. Journalist Isaac Saul highlighted the situation, writing, “Remember the Chicago apartment raid? With Blackhawk helicopters? That was in a building ‘filled with Tren de Aragua terrorists,’ according to Stephen Miller? ProPublica is reporting not a *single* person who was arrested has been charged with a crime.”

Former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan called for accountability, stating, “Noem should resign over this.” Conservative analyst Stuart Stevens went further, suggesting, “Noem should be criminally charged for knowingly engaging in child kidnapping and trafficking.”

Over the weekend, House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries joined the chorus of critics, tweeting, “Kristi Noem is a corrupt disgrace. Resign.”

As public scrutiny intensifies, calls for Secretary Noem’s resignation and possible legal consequences continue to grow.
