Scarborough wraps up the 2025 season as the unanimous No. 1-ranked team in the Varsity Maine boys soccer poll. The Red Storm secured the top spot in the final six polls and held a unanimous No. 1 ranking in the last three. Overall, they were ranked first in seven of the nine polls this fall.
To clinch the top position, Scarborough needed a late goal to defeat Brunswick in the Class A title game. The Dragons’ exceptional performance in the state final, coupled with their run to the A North title, propelled them from seventh in the previous poll to second in the final fall rankings.
Yarmouth had a thrilling postseason, winning three consecutive overtime matches to claim the Class B title, including a hard-fought victory against Oceanside in the state final. The Mariners’ impressive run moved them from unranked to seventh place in the final poll.
Hall-Dale also made a notable jump, entering the rankings at No. 9 after securing the Class C title for the second consecutive year. The championship was sealed by a clutch, game-winning goal from Karter Eldridge.
