EAST LANSING, MI — UCLA’s Jordan Chiles was nearly perfect during a gymnastics meet at the Breslin Center on Sunday, January 25. The No. 21-ranked Michigan State Spartans hosted the No. 5-ranked UCLA Bruins in a highly anticipated battle between the last two Big Ten gymnastics champions.
Chiles dominated the competition, winning the all-around with an impressive score of 39.875 and earning a perfect 10 on her floor routine. Her individual event scores included a 9.975 on vault, 9.950 on uneven bars, and 9.950 on beam. Notably, her all-around score was the highest in the nation.
UCLA defeated Michigan State with a final team score of 197.425 to 196.900. The event also set a new program attendance record for Michigan State gymnastics, with 9,887 fans in attendance—an enthusiastic crowd thrilled to witness top-tier collegiate gymnastics on home turf.

### An Olympic Resume
Jordan Chiles joined the UCLA Bruins in 2022 as a freshman after competing in the Tokyo Olympics. Since then, her collegiate career has been nothing short of extraordinary. She captured the NCAA uneven bars individual national championships in both 2023 and 2025, and also claimed the NCAA floor exercise national title in 2023.
As an Olympian, Chiles boasts an impressive medal collection: she earned gold and bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Additionally, she is a three-time World medalist as of 2022.
