**WILLIAMSPORT — Bail Denied for Lycoming County Man Accused of Attempted Murder**
Adam Nathan Taylor, 46, of South Williamsport, has been denied bail after being accused of attempting to kill his ex-lover. Taylor, who evaded capture for three days, was arraigned Monday on multiple criminal charges and a violation of a protection-from-abuse (PFA) order. District Judge William C. Solomon ruled that Taylor poses a danger to the community and therefore denied bail.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred around 3:30 p.m. last Thursday on Route 220 in the Linden area west of Williamsport. According to the complaint, Taylor rammed the victim’s vehicle with a pickup truck before firing a hunting rifle at it. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the attack.
In addition to the attempted murder, Taylor faces charges related to the theft of a red Ram 3500 dual rear-wheeled truck that had been parked in front of a home on Pine Run Road. A concerned citizen later found the snow-covered stolen truck abandoned along South Frymire Hollow Road near Beaver Lake, close to Hughesville.
Taylor was apprehended later that same day at Geisinger-Muncy Hospital near Pennsdale. Police reported that he arrived there claiming to have used methamphetamine and was held overnight for medical observation. During his arraignment, Taylor told Judge Solomon he had stumbled into the hospital unaware he was wanted and claimed to have lost track of time.
State police have released limited information about the case, including whether the victim’s vehicle was struck by a bullet and whether the rifle used has been recovered. Investigators have obtained a warrant to tow the stolen truck to the Montoursville barracks for further search and examination.

### Account of the Incident
The victim, a 43-year-old woman, provided the following account of the events on Route 220:
She was traveling southbound when she noticed a blue Ford F-250 pickup truck approaching from behind. Recognizing both the truck and the driver as Taylor—who had a PFA order filed against him on November 13—she became alarmed. Shortly after, she heard what she thought was a rock strike her vehicle.
Continuing south, she reached the area near Wagner’s Road and turned around to head northbound. At this point, Taylor’s truck rammed the rear of her vehicle, causing her to lose control and crash into a guardrail. She then noticed a bullet hole in her vehicle’s windshield.
The truck passed her, crossed into the southbound lanes of Route 220, and stopped with the driver’s window rolled down. The victim saw Taylor attempting to shoulder a hunting rifle. Fearing for her safety, she exited her vehicle, fled on foot, and tried to flag down passing motorists for help.

### Further Developments
State police were contacted around 4:25 p.m. Thursday by Wanda Derr, who reported seeing a blue pickup truck in front of her home on Pine Run Road. She also informed authorities that her 2017 red Ram 3500 dual rear-wheeled truck was missing.
Upon inspection, the blue pickup truck was found to have a bullet hole in the windshield and a spent shell casing on the front passenger side floorboard.
Taylor, who works as a self-employed contractor, faces multiple charges including:
– Attempted homicide
– Aggravated assault
– Stalking
– Illegal possession of a firearm
– Theft
– Receiving stolen property
Due to the existing PFA order and a prior conviction in Maryland for possession with intent to deliver ecstasy, Taylor is prohibited from possessing firearms.
The case remains under active investigation as authorities work to uncover additional details.
