Experience the Magic of “The Amazing Max” at the Arsht Center This Weekend!
There’s something about magic that captivates everyone—young, old, and everyone in between. And this weekend, the Adrienne Arsht Center will be especially enchanting for kids and families, as magician Max Darwin—better known as “The Amazing Max”—brings his high-energy, interactive magic show to Miami.
From Friday through Sunday, The Amazing Max will wow audiences with mind-blowing illusions. Yes, he’ll even levitate an audience member and make money appear—coins, not $100 bills (as we asked!). But the real magic? Introducing young audiences to the wonder of live theater.
“As a performer, I’m often honored to introduce kids to what it feels like to go to the theater,” Max shares. “We do a high-energy, interactive, family-friendly magic show.”

It’s holiday break—and what better time for some fun? Watch objects vanish and reappear, see kids produce coins out of thin air, and gasp as someone from the audience levitates on stage. “Everything happens in this space between us,” Max says. “It’s as opposite a digital experience as you could have. The audience is right there with me.”
And while the kids will be delighted, parents won’t feel left out either. “Half the jokes are directly for the adults,” Max laughs. “Which is only fair, since they bought the tickets and deserve a great time, too!”
No Two Shows Alike
Every performance of The Amazing Max is unique—no two shows are the same. Max thrives on audience interaction: “I have an idea of what I want to happen, but I want it to be different every time,” he explains. “You’re on your toes, and so is the audience.”
VIP Magic for the Holidays
Standard tickets to The Amazing Max cost $47, but for $88, you can enjoy a VIP experience. The magic carpet VIP section offers front-row seats and a special bonus: Every VIP guest learns a magic trick they can take home to wow their friends and family.
“That’s what I love about this show,” says Max. “Kids light up seeing impossible things happen in their own hands on stage, and adults light up seeing that happen to their kids.”
