Mizell puts up 14, Tarleton State knocks off Midwestern State 67-57

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) — Jordan Mizell scored 14 points as Tarleton State defeated Midwestern State 67-57 on Friday. Mizell also contributed five steals for the Texans, who improved to 5-3 on the season.

Cam McDowell added 13 points, shooting 4 of 9 from the floor, including 1 for 5 from three-point range, and went 4 for 5 from the free-throw line. He also grabbed five rebounds. Freddy Hicks scored 11 points, making 3 of 11 shots from the field and hitting 5 of 6 free throws.

For the Mustangs, Orlando Horton Jr. led the effort with 18 points and three steals. Davyon Butler contributed 10 points, while Terrance Ramirez finished with nine points and two steals.
