Together, they shared 69 cherished years of marriage, and their favorite pastime was spending days-on-end at their camp on Little River. There, amidst countless days spent fishing, they hosted weekend gatherings, cooking the daily catch for their family. Sunday dinners were always another specialty when he cooked his pork roast with the ‘körn” & rice dressing & sweet potatoes at their home for the children and grandchildren. Landry dedicated his life both to his family and his craft. As a skilled carpenter and tractor mechanic, and later as parts manager for Ford Tractor in Alexandria, he was known for his dependable nature and his ability to repair anything put in front of him. Many weekends were spent selflessly helping farmers in need with tractor repairs. He also served his country honorably as a proud U. S. Veteran. The calendar stopped marking time for Landry when he passed away peacefully at Regency House of Alexandria. His deepest sanctuary was always found in his boat or a deer stand, or just sitting on his front porch with his wife. The most precious gifts he passed on were the irreplaceable virtues of patience, respect, and an abiding love for his family. The family extends its deepest gratitude for the compassionate and loving care provided by every staff member and employee at Allegiance Home Health, Regency House of Alexandria and Compassionate Care Hospice. Their unwavering support during this difficult time made a profound difference to the family.
