On Tuesday morning, many internet users found everyday services and apps such as Twitter, Spotify, most of Riot’s games, and more offline. In most cases, users were being shot to a screen that said Cloudflare’s server’s were down. Indeed, the internet infrastructure service seems to have suffered a major outage which took a large variety of internet services offline. The group claims to have discovered the issue and is deploying a fix. Cloudflare’s global outage began very early on November 18, 2025, when users of Twitter, Amazon Web Services, Spotify, ChatGPT, and more started noticing issues in access. According to DownDetector (which was also temporarily affected), the issue began at around 3: 15 a. m. PT / 6: 15 a. m. ET. Cloudflare eventually identified the issue at around 5 a. m. PT / 8 a. m. ET. The full fix is still ongoing, but Cloudflare claims to have the issue under control at this time. The effects of Cloudflare being down were highly noticeable across various sectors of the internet. Users reported being unable to log into Twitter or ChatGPT, with video and posts on Twitter behaving erratically even when logged in. League of Legends and Valorant were similarly affected and left fans unable to play during the outage. Many other websites that operate on Cloudflare’s servers were also affected.
