Former Chapel Hill Town Council member Karen Stegman has announced her candidacy for Orange County Commissioner in 2026. She plans to run for the at-large seat being vacated by Sally Greene.
Stegman expressed her enthusiasm for serving all of Orange County, focusing on key issues such as increasing affordable housing and overall affordability, while also working to preserve rural land.
