DETROIT (AP) — Connor Bedard showcased his offensive prowess with a goal and two assists, leading the Chicago Blackhawks to a convincing 5-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

In addition to Bedard’s strong performance, Teuvo Teravainen, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Oliver Moore also found the back of the net. Andre Burakovsky sealed the win with an empty-net goal. The Blackhawks have now won three straight games, boosted by goaltender Arvid Soderblom’s impressive 45 saves. Defenseman Artyom Levshunov contributed two assists, bringing his total to four assists over the last three games.

Bedard opened the scoring early, netting a power-play goal just 59 seconds into the game after Dylan Larkin was penalized for tripping. This extends Bedard’s streak to three goals in as many games. Meanwhile, Tyler Bertuzzi continued his scoring surge with his sixth goal over the past three games, following a hat trick against the Canucks last Wednesday.

The Red Wings got on the board at 4:19 of the first period thanks to Dylan Larkin, but they were held to just one goal as John Gibson made 15 saves in net. Detroit has now dropped three consecutive games.
