Dead by Daylight has introduced an exciting twist to its gameplay with the relatively new 2v8 mode, which pits two killers against eight survivors. This fresh take on the formula is gaining popularity, especially with the addition of new characters that promise to ramp up the fun.
From now until November 20, 2025, players can enjoy the inclusion of two iconic villains in the 2v8 mode: Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and Dracula from Castlevania. Behaviour Interactive recently shared the details of their arrival in a new trailer, marking a special, temporary event for fans of the game. After the event concludes, the 2v8 mode will be taken offline again for the time being.
Both Pyramid Head and Dracula have been part of Dead by Daylight’s regular roster as DLC characters before their introduction to the 2v8 mode. Pyramid Head made his debut in 2020 during the Silent Hill collaboration, which also brought Heather Mason to the survivors’ side. Dracula joined the game alongside Trevor Belmont in the Castlevania collaboration.
Gameplay-wise, Pyramid Head offers a unique control style. He traps paths with barbed wire and can teleport caught players to coffin cages scattered throughout the map, making him a formidable opponent to evade. On the other hand, Dracula takes a more aggressive approach, using his various forms and magical abilities to relentlessly chase and hunt down survivors.
This temporary event is a great opportunity for players to experience these fan-favorite characters in a new and challenging mode. Make sure to dive into the 2v8 action before it goes offline on November 20, 2025!
