Ant McPartlin’s end of an era at £6m home he went ‘over and above’ to renovate

**Ant McPartlin Faces Major Upheaval Ahead of ‘I’m a Celebrity’ Return as He Plans to Move House**

*I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!* is set to return to our screens later this month, but it’s all go for presenter Ant McPartlin. Before jetting off to the Australian jungle, the star is reportedly facing a major upheaval at home — Ant is moving house.

According to the *Daily Mail* report on 3 November, Ant, who forms one half of the iconic presenting duo Ant and Dec, is moving out of his Wimbledon home. He will be relocating with his wife Anne-Marie, her daughters from a previous marriage, Daisy and Poppy, and their one-year-old son, Wilder.

### The Reason Behind the Move: Neighbour Dispute Over Trees

The family are reportedly leaving their £6 million property after losing a planning battle linked to a neighbour dispute about six trees on their land. In February 2024, it was revealed that the couple had been granted permission to cut down four cypress trees, a Weymouth pine, and a yew, despite these being protected by a Tree Preservation Order — a legal measure made by the local council to protect specific trees from being felled.

However, neighbours accused Ant and Anne-Marie of seeking to remove healthy, substantial trees. One neighbour voiced their objection in a letter, stating:

> “No justification is given for felling these substantial trees, other than the applicant’s wish to allow re-landscaping of part of their garden. There is no suggestion that any of the trees are dangerous or diseased. The personal whim of the applicant should not override the benefit to the community and the environment in retaining these trees.”

### Revised Renovation Plans After Dispute

Following the objection, Ant submitted revised plans that involved keeping all six trees in place. Instead of removing the trees, the plans now feature an extension of the existing garden room to create a gym, a study, a games room, and a studio.

Ant’s planning agent shared in a design statement:

> “Approval has been granted by the council for the removal of all the trees at the end of the garden bar one large yew along the northern boundary. The applicant wishes to keep all the trees in place and build around the trees with a ‘floating’ lightweight structure on the higher ground at the end of the garden.”

While the new structure would require removing some lower branches of three trees, an arboricultural impact assessment confirmed this would not affect their health or stability. The assessment also highlighted that the property owners are going “over and above” to minimise ground disturbance.

### Inside Ant McPartlin’s Wimbledon Home

Ant and Anne-Marie, who married in 2021, first moved into the Wimbledon property in 2019 after meeting in 2017 when she became his personal assistant. The couple undertook extensive renovations inside and out, including adding a swimming pool with Victorian-style changing rooms and two single-storey extensions.

The spacious home boasts five reception rooms, an open-plan kitchen, a cinema, a sunroom, and a larder. Although the couple usually keeps their home private, Ant once offered a glimpse inside, revealing a living room adorned in blue with panelled walls, alcoves for ornamental pieces including a BAFTA Award, a plush L-shaped sofa, and a leather ottoman.

### What’s Next for Ant and His Family?

As Ant prepares for his return to the jungle for *I’m a Celebrity*, the family’s future home remains a mystery. They have yet to share details about where they might be moving next.
