Over 100 juveniles on Halloween night in Washington, D.C., fought and caused mayhem in one of the city’s most notorious problem zones, according to a news report Saturday. A video capturing the chaos appears to show National Guard members chasing young people in the Navy Yard neighborhood, an area that saw similar disturbances this summer. Those incidents contributed, at least in part, to President Trump deploying National Guard members to the nation’s capital.

The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a massive group of juveniles allegedly engaging in fights and disrupting the flow of traffic. Police said the group, which increased in size to several hundred juveniles around 8 p.m., was initially peaceful. However, later many of the juveniles began fighting and disrupting traffic.

Five people were taken into custody, including four juveniles, facing charges such as possession of a prohibited weapon, public consumption of marijuana, and resisting arrest, according to FoxNews.com.

Additional MPD officers, along with other agencies including Metro Transit Police, United States Capitol Police, the National Guard, and members of the Federal Task Force, also responded to the incident. The situation was reportedly brought under control around 11 p.m.
