Epic Games has announced Sidekicks, new companions that can accompany players in Fortnite. These customizable creatures will be available in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and other game modes developed by Epic.
Sidekicks are set to make their debut when the next Fortnite season kicks off on November 1, 2025. The announcement was made in a recent blog post, revealing exciting details about these new in-game companions.
Sidekicks travel alongside players as they explore the map and engage in battles. While they do not provide any competitive advantage, they add a fun and interactive element by mimicking player emotes and reacting to the action around them.
According to Epic Games, most Sidekicks will be customizable upon acquisition. However, once players finalize their customization choices, these changes become permanent. As players progress, Sidekicks will earn Sidekick Points (SP), which can be used to unlock new cosmetic options.
Several Sidekicks have already been revealed, including Peels, a banana puppy that players can earn through the new Battle Pass starting November 1, 2025. Additionally, Bonesy, Spike, and Lil’ Raptor will all be available for purchase in the Item Shop beginning November 7.
