A Wake County mother is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving impaired and crashing her car while her child was in the vehicle, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Thirty-four-year-old Brittany Gregory Hines is accused of drunk driving on Sunday along Bartley Holleman Road in Holly Springs with her 9-year-old son in the car. Arrest warrants reveal that her blood alcohol content was measured at 0.19.
Court records indicate that Hines failed to maintain her vehicle within a single lane, eventually running off the road and crashing into a gate near the intersection of Bartley and New Hill Holleman Roads. The exact time of the crash has not been disclosed.
Hines has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of child abuse, one misdemeanor count of driving while impaired, and a charge for failing to maintain lane control.
She was not issued a bond but signed a written promise to appear in court. Brittany Gregory Hines is scheduled to appear before the court on November 21.
