Josh Allen passes Cam Newton for most games with passing and rushing TD, Bills lead 26-3

Bills quarterback Josh Allen continues to rewrite the history books with his impressive play. With his latest 54-yard touchdown pass to Khalil Shakir, Allen has now surpassed Cam Newton for the most games featuring both a passing and rushing touchdown, reaching a total of 46.

Coincidentally, Allen broke the record in the very stadium where Newton spent the majority of his professional career. As of early in the third quarter, Buffalo leads Carolina 26-3.

Interestingly, Allen’s record-breaking touchdown pass wasn’t the most remarkable throw of his career. He connected with Shakir on a short pass just four yards beyond the line of scrimmage. However, the Panthers struggled with tackling throughout the game, and this play was no exception. Shakir managed to evade multiple defenders and sprinted into the end zone for Buffalo’s second score of at least 50 yards on the day.

Statistically, Allen is currently 8-of-15 for 128 yards and one touchdown. Shakir is leading the receiving corps with five receptions totaling 87 yards and one touchdown.
