Jerry Jeudy stiffs reporter after Browns’ ugly loss to Patriots

The Cleveland Browns have now fallen to a 2-6 record on the season following a tough 32-13 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8. It was a challenging game from the start, as the Browns struggled to find any momentum on offense.

Frustrations seemed to boil over after the game, particularly involving wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. According to Dan Labbe of Cleveland.com, Jeudy appeared to avoid media interaction after the loss. The 26-year-old wideout reportedly did not stop to speak with Labbe as he exited the locker room, simply stating that he “had to go” and continuing to walk.

Dan Labbe tweeted about the encounter: “Tried to stop Jerry Jeudy on his way out of locker room, and he said ‘I have to go’ and kept walking.”

Jeudy ended Sunday’s game without recording a single stat, despite being targeted twice. The Patriots’ defense had the Browns effectively locked down, rendering Jeudy a non-factor for quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

Looking at Jeudy’s overall performance this season, it’s clear he’s been having a rough time. Through eight games, the 2024 Pro Bowler has caught only 22 passes for 257 yards and has yet to score a touchdown.

This season marks a stark contrast to the 2023-24 campaign, where Jerry Jeudy was the Browns’ top wide receiver. Last season, he finished with impressive numbers: 90 receptions, 1,229 yards, and four touchdowns, establishing himself as a key component of the Browns’ offense.

As the season progresses, Browns fans and analysts alike will be watching to see if Jeudy can recapture his previous form and help lift the team out of its struggles.
