Ripple’s Chris Larsen’s Crypto Fortune Soars: Details

Ripple cofounder and chairman Chris Larsen has seen his crypto fortune soar over the years, with on-chain data revealing over $764 million in realized profits.

According to Maartunn, a community analyst at CryptoQuant, Larsen has realized approximately $764,209,610.42 in profit since January 2018. It is important to note that this figure remains an estimate.

At a current price of $2.39, XRP is up 355% on a yearly basis, according to CoinGecko data. This significant price increase has contributed to the growth of the Ripple chairman’s XRP holdings.

Larsen owns over 2.5 billion XRP, spread across various wallets, as reported by data from xrpscan. A look at xrpscan’s top accounts by wallet — a metric listing the top 10,000 XRP balances — highlights six wallets named after Chris Larsen within the top 50 balances.

These wallets hold the following XRP amounts:

– Chris Larsen (1): 500,000,000 XRP
– Chris Larsen (2): 450,000,000 XRP
– Chris Larsen (3): 500,000,001 XRP
– Chris Larsen (4): 500,000,001 XRP
– Chris Larsen (5): 282,499,978 XRP
– Chris Larsen (6): 300,188,448 XRP

Combined, these total approximately 2,532,688,426 XRP, worth around $6 billion ($6,053,125,338) at the current XRP price of $2.39.

Notably, wallets numbered one through four still contain about 500 million XRP each and have never made any outbound transfers. Larsen originally received these funds as a founder’s gift back in 2013.

Wallet number five has been actively selling during 2025, reducing its holdings from 500 million XRP to the current 282 million XRP.

### Chris Larsen’s Evernorth Investment

At the start of this week, Evernorth — a first-of-its-kind institutional vehicle built to accelerate XRP adoption — announced a business agreement with Armada Acquisition Corp II. This transaction is expected to raise over $1 billion to create the largest public XRP treasury company on the Nasdaq under the ticker “XRPN.”

Ripple Chairman Chris Larsen participated in the transaction with a $50 million XRP investment, alongside major players including SBI, Ripple, Rippleworks, Pantera Capital, Kraken, and GSR.

In a tweet, Larsen hailed the Evernorth launch as the missing link in XRP capital markets and XRP usage in DeFi products. He announced his $50 million investment would be derived directly from his XRP wallets, underscoring his continued commitment to the growth and adoption of XRP.
