How to call in a UAV – Battlefield 6

The Recon class in the game features a powerful UAV drone that players can call in to gain a tactical advantage. This UAV will spot and mark any enemy within 100 meters of your location for 60 seconds, making it an invaluable tool for situational awareness on the battlefield.

### How to Call in a UAV

To call in the UAV, you first need to unlock it by maxing out the Recon training path during a multiplayer match. Once you have fully completed the training path, you can deploy the UAV by pressing the **6** key on PC or both bumpers on a controller – that is, **RB + LB** for Xbox or **R1 + L1** for PlayStation.

### Understanding the Training Path

The Recon training path can be seen on the right side of your screen, represented by a series of boxes. This path is also known as the **Field Specs**, which offers passive benefits that unlock progressively as you earn XP in the match.

As you accumulate XP, the lowest box starts to fill up. When the box is completely filled, it locks in, granting you the associated benefit. Any additional XP you earn then begins filling the next box, continuing upward until you reach the UAV unlock at the top of the path.

### Important Tips on XP Decay

One challenging aspect of reaching the UAV box is dealing with XP decay. XP progress slowly drains over time if you don’t earn any new XP while filling a box. For example, if you are halfway through the UAV box but do not gain XP for a short period, your progress will start to decrease.

To successfully call in the UAV, keep earning XP consistently to lock in each box and reach the top of the Recon training path. Once unlocked, calling in the UAV becomes a valuable asset for spotting enemies and gaining the upper hand in your matches.
