**Drishyam 3: Paresh Rawal Clarifies Reports About His Involvement**
*Drishyam* (2015) was a box office success and, over the years, developed a cult following. This paved the way for a fabulous opening of *Drishyam 2* (2022), which shocked the trade and industry alike. As the sequel emerged as a blockbuster, all eyes are now on *Drishyam 3*, scheduled to release on October 2, 2026.
Recently, the film made headlines with reports suggesting that veteran actor Paresh Rawal might be part of the cast. However, it turns out that the actor has not signed on for *Drishyam 3*.
**Paresh Rawal Responds to Casting Speculation**
Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Paresh Rawal about the speculation surrounding his role in the upcoming thriller. When asked if he had bagged a part, he firmly denied it, saying,
“No, I have not. There’s no truth to these reports at all.”
Was he offered a role in *Drishyam 3*? Paresh Rawal confirmed,
“Yes, the makers did approach me. But I didn’t feel that the role was suitable for me. Maza nahin aaya (I didn’t enjoy the part) on reading about my role.”
He went on to praise the project,
“But the script is very good. I was really impressed. Even with a compelling script, you need a role that excites you. Warna maza nahin aayega (otherwise, it won’t be enjoyable).”
**On His Latest Release: *Thamma***
The conversation then shifted to his latest release, *Thamma*. Paresh Rawal plays a father suspicious that his son has developed “punching machine-type teeth,” a role that has been well received by audiences.
Paresh Rawal smiled and said,
“Yes, I heard it is doing well.”
He also mentioned,
“I am in Ahmedabad,” hinting that he might not have had the chance to watch the film yet.
