Denver police searching for driver after motorcyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run

Denver police are actively searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Athmar Park on Friday evening.

The driver, an unidentified woman believed to be in her mid-20s, was operating a gray 2015 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Colorado license plate EFC-I90 at the time of the crash. The collision occurred in the 2200 block of West Alameda Avenue, according to a Medina Alert issued by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist, who has not been publicly identified, sustained serious injuries in the crash, which happened at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

The pickup truck was last seen near the crash site. Investigators noted that the vehicle had a black bed cover, visible damage to the passenger side truck bed and bumper, and an American flag decal displayed on the lower left corner of the windshield.
