There was another attempt to pass a funding bill in the Senate today, and once again, not enough Democrats would get on board. Reports indicate that “Democrats blocked the 10th attempt” to move the legislation forward.
Despite the reality of who is blocking the bill and causing the federal government shutdown, Democrats continue to misrepresent the situation. For example, Rep. Ted Lieu recently made misleading claims about the nature of the funding bill.
It’s important to clarify that this is a continuing resolution — essentially the same funding bill that has had support from enough Democrats for quite some time. Yet, the Left persists in distorting what the bill would mean.
Narrator: But the congressman continues to hope the public doesn’t see through the deception.
