IAF Chief says four to five Pakistani jets destroyed on ground in Ops Sindoor

**IAF Chief Amar Preet Singh Announces Destruction of Pakistani Fighter Jets in Operation Sindoor**

Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, on Friday, revealed that four to five Pakistani fighter jets, most likely F-16s, were destroyed on the ground during air strikes carried out as part of Operation Sindoor.

During a press conference held in the national capital, the IAF Chief detailed that several Pakistani airbases were targeted. The strikes damaged key installations including radars, command centres, runways, hangars, and a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system.

Singh also stated that a C-130-class aircraft and possibly a high-value surveillance aircraft were hit during the operation, further impacting Pakistan’s aerial capabilities.

“As far as Pakistan’s losses are concerned, we have struck a large number of their airfields and installations,” said Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh.

He added that the IAF’s advanced long-range surface-to-air missiles effectively prevented Pakistan from operating even within its own territory up to a certain range during the operation.
