MANILA, Philippines — The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has signed three memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Japanese institutions to foster collaboration in key areas such as waste management, renewable energy, telecommunications, and sustainable development.
The agreements were signed during an official mission to Tokyo, marking a significant step towards strengthening bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Japan.
The first MOU was inked with Kanadevia Corp., a renowned Japanese industrial and engineering firm. This partnership involves conducting a feasibility study on establishing a waste-to-energy (WTE) facility, aimed at addressing waste management challenges while promoting clean energy solutions.
