MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Bank’s (PNB) move to let go of its Bahrain operations and dissolve two of its units is seen as a strategic step to cut costs and focus on expanding its core business.
According to Ron Acoba, chief investment strategist at Trading Edge Consultancy, PNB could still serve its clients effectively while streamlining its operations. This decision allows the bank to allocate resources more efficiently and strengthen its position in the local market.
